Complete professional course in Painting and  Decoration from I.T.I. (New Delhi), 1977, where he studied such arts as drawing, painting, designing  and  decoration .

Before launching on his own institute, Raja Arts  in 1979, Harish Chander spent  the intervening period of two years  in experimenting what he had learnt at ITI and what  he cherished to do in various special arts for the  learning of  which he had spent three years.  A  burning desire to do something unique in his life lime, brought him face to face with the contemporary veterans and stalwarts who had already spent their precious lives in promoting various facets of arts among the people.  And these masters were highly impressed  with his keen desire to learn, and learn more,  and work hard, the qualities which are rarely found  these days. The experience thus gained has now enabled him to stand on the same pedestal on which some other eminent art masters are positioned.

Established Raja Arts in 1979  Under this banner we have executed many prestigious jobs  assigned to us  by several distinguished institutions and corporate offices.

In 1985 Harish Chander began a serious study of the art of Calligraphy. And in 1995 He established Calligraphy India a sister concern of Raja Arts.  His love of beautiful letter forms and words has led to the study of many related fields such as Calligraphy, Handwriting Improvement, Speed Writing, Graphology, Illumination (Celtic Knotwork for example), Gilding, paper marbling  and experiments in acrylic paste technique and collage. He has also studied silk-screening and other printmaking techniques. All of these techniques have added great dimension to his work.
